Day Twentyfive- Road to Spring- Plenty of Patterns

How do you wear three different patterns?  It’s easy!  Start with a bold pattern like this striped sweater.  Throw in a smaller but equally intense print with leopard pants.  Finally add in a pinstriped shirt that reads like a solid and you have successfully mixed three patterns in one outfit.  Plenty of patterns!

Day Twentythree- Road to Spring- Navy & Yellow

Here’s a classic combination of two colors, navy and yellow.  I imagine them like the sea with some sunshine.  And I added a pop of turquoise.  Turquoise is a close second to white in my favorite color palette.  I don’t think I’ve found a color yet that it doesn’t bring a little something out in.  What goes with turquoise?

Purple?  Check.

Hot pink?  Check.

Coral?  Check.

Green?  Check. Check.

You get the idea.  And of course, navy & yellow!

Day Eighteen- Road to Spring- Tied Up In Knots

For this outfit, I wanted to add a bit of pattern to otherwise solid pieces and beyond my textured shoes, I wasn’t sure how.  Then I had an idea, I tied two scarves together!  I simply knotted the two ends (one I left a little longer than the other so some of the fringe would show) and wrapped it like an infinity scarf!  What a great solution when your scarf just might not be long enough to do fancy ties!

Day Seventeen- Road to Spring- Girls’ Nite Out

What would life be like without a girls’ nite out once in a while?  Just the phrase can get the blood pumping in this stay-at-home mom’s veins.  They are too few and far between!

Here’s what I wore-

Day Sixteen- Road to Spring- March Madness

Warning:  this post has nothing to do with basketball.  It has to do with the fact that it is spring break here (spring is here, it really is, we made it!) and that means all kinds of craziness.  I’ve decided spring break is that little glimpse of summer that we’ve been granted to remind us what we have to look forward to when school is out.  No alarm clock, all kinds of fun kid’s activities, sunny weather, no lessons, practices or crazy schedules and spending quality time together…

Here is an outfit I threw together in approximately 3.2 minutes when I was needing to get out the door one day.
