Christmas Tour, The Tree

I hope you had a good time on my Christmas tour.  Here is my last picture, of the tree, of course!

Christmas Tour, Kitchen & Dining Room

Today are the last few rooms of the house I decorated for Christmas, the kitchen and the dining room.

Here’s the hutch that sits in my kitchen, full of reindeer-

I kept it pretty simple this year in the kitchen.  Just a strand of lighted garland and some letters I hung on my kitchen window screen-

I usually take down all of the flowers in my house and try to replace them with some greenery or Christmasy flowers.

Tomorrow, it’s is my last day of the tour and I’ll show you my red and white tree!

Christmas Tour, Spots Around the House

Yesterday got away from me!  Here are some more Christmas-y spots around the house on my Christmas home tour-

Two more days of pictures!  Whose Christmas house tour has been your favorite to view this holiday season?

Christmas Tour, Front Porch Inspiration

Hi there!  We’re just over the moon here with the addition of our little boy.  And I’ll be spending some serious snuggle time with him the next few weeks.  But I did want to finish my holiday home tour.  So a few more pictures of what’s going on here at home for you to enjoy!

Here’s some of the decorating I’ve done at our entrance.

I know I shouldn’t be saying this, but I’m hoping for snow for Christmas.  I’m not a big fan of a green Christmas.  How about you?

We Have A New Baby

So excited to let everyone know that a happy and healthy new baby boy was born to the Jirovsky family on December 9th at 12:19 a.m. He was 9 lbs. 13 oz! And 22.75 inches long!
Mom and baby are doing well. And she will be finishing her Christmas tour posts soon as she spends time with baby.

Christmas Tour, The Mantel

Before I show you all my fireplace mantel, I better finish the entry and my piano.

Here’s the staircase-

Here’s a little print I picked up at the Dollar General for $6.  It hangs by the door-

Now…on to the fireplace mantel!  Here’s a big shot-

I need to work on raising my picture so you can see more of it, but you get the general idea…

This is what it looks like.  Be kind.  I painted it and my third grader probably could have done better-

And lastly, here’s a close up of my little blue car.  All set with its Christmas tree-

Christmas Tour Continues

Welcome back to my living room!  Here is my beachy white hutch all decked out for the holidays in a red and white candy theme.

This is also where I put my snow globe collection…

And here is a bell jar I painted in a ruby red color.  I also painted several pickle jars.  Yes, pickle jars.  And while they may only make it one season, I love them.  Great upcycling idea!

Christmas Tour

No baby yet.  And the only thing keeping me from going mad is decorating for Christmas. Remember my theme this year was red and white in a minimalist sort of way.  Well, for me that meant only putting up one tree and leaving about nine totes of Christmas stuff in the attic this year.  A lesson in restraint!

So while we count down the days until this baby decides to make an appearance, I’ll entertain you with pictures of my holiday fun.

Here are a few from today-

Ya, okay, I have a few cord issues I need to work out.  But this is a quick shot of our mantel in our bedroom.  I need to make one more stocking!

Wire Baskets with Greenery

These baskets help camouflage my thermostat.  Most of the time it is covered up with artwork.  But I think it blends in well with my other white pieces.

And that’s a start.  More tomorrow!
