Last Minute Fashionista Mother’s Day Ideas

I know the clock is winding down on what you can get your favorite mom in your life.  But here are some last minute ideas for a mom- fashionista.

I don’t know about you but I’ve got summer on the brain. And I’m looking for some summer staples that would be nice to have.  (That last way longer than flowers!)

EVERY girl needs a pair of cut offs.  I don’t care who ya are.  For the hours of bleacher sitting watching baseball games and sitting lakeside, whatever you’re doing this summer.  You must have a pair!  (And I also wear the heck outta the white version for whenever you feel like pairing something with a blue jean isn’t going to work.)

These little numbers I now call mine and I’m so excited to wear them this summer.  They’re going to be perfect for those chilly summer mornings when you wish you almost had a shoe.  I love that they look very boho/sporty.

Happy Mother’s Day!!

Priceless Weekend

Sorry I missed you all this weekend.  Some weekends are like that!  It was a great one!

I hope you had a great Mother’s Day!  I received homemade cards which are priceless. And I was so lucky to enjoy taking the whole family to Heaven Is For Real.  It was a good movie.  If you haven’t read the book, the book is even better!  And if your kids don’t have the kids book version, it’s a must have.  My kids love it.

Beyond that I took in my nephew’s graduation from college.  I made the road trip by myself and my youngest so the rest of my family could play soccer.  (Yes 6-8 year old soccer is next to the Olympics, you know.  :))  He is my first nephew or niece to graduation college. Priceless.

I made a stop into to see my grandmother.  She’s the only grandparent I have left and she is turning 93 this month!  We got a four generation photo while we were there.  Priceless.

And then we also had a series of strong storms pass through the area.  With tornado watches going until 3 a.m., we just copped out and all slept in the basement.  It beats running sleeping children down the steps in the middle of the night.  Three children and one mama in a king sized bed…priceless?

I hope your weekend was equally priceless.

Coming up this week, what to wear for the rest of your May activities!
